Johnny Johnsom - a fundraising volunteer
It is a great comfort to know that there's an organisation that understands what's happening out there and is doing its utmost to help vulnerable youngsters. Raising money to help fund this work, is a way of my family being ever thankful for our children and trying to help those who've not been so fortunate.

Raise money at school and in your community

Students, teachers and parents – we've got loads of ideas to help you plan something, from no-uniform days and ice cream Fridays to talent shows and school discos. These are also fun for other groups like Scouts and Guides.

Download the ideas packs below to get some school-based ideas.

    Join a Barnardo's fundraising group

It's easier to plan your fundraising when you're with other people. When you join one of our fundraising groups you're be part of a friendly team, supported by a local Barnardo's fundraising manager.

Together you'll be able to organise target-busting activities that are as engaging as they are effective.

    Online fundraising

Some people find it easiest to attract support for their fundraising activity by setting up a page on a website like JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving. You can email friends a link to your page so they can contribute. It's an easy way to tell your friends, family and colleagues about what you're doing – especially if you use social media to spread the word. You can keep your pages updated with your progress, and at the end of your fundraising, the funds will transfer to us automatically.
