  • Leeds Children's - Advocacy in Child Protection Conferences

    Advocacy in Child Protection The Leeds Children’s Rights Service is able to offer Advocacy support for children and young people, aged 5 to 18 years old, in Leeds who are being supported by a Social Worker on a Child Protection Plan.

    Leeds Children's Rights Service is an independent rights and advocacy service for children, young people and care leavers looked after by Leeds Social Care. We provide advocacy support for all looked after children, including disabled children, unaccompanied asylum seeking children, those in secure accommodation and those placed out of authority by Leeds.

    We provide advocacy for non looked after children and young people who have made an allegation against a professional and have LADO involvement.LADO ... If for any reason the young person's birth family is unable to support to the young person then we can offer advocacy in order to make sure that their statement is independently received and that their voice is represented at any meetings.

    Advocacy for Children In Need The Leeds Children’s Rights Service may be able to offer support to children and young people (Age 5 – 18) where they are being supported by a Social Worker on a Child in Need plan in Leeds.

  • London Children's Rights - Advocacy & IV Lambeth

    This service provides two lines of support including; * The Independent Visitors Service matches volunteers with Looked After Children and Young People. IVs provide support by visiting, befriending and mentoring Young People who have little or no contact with their birth families. IVs act as long-term befrienders/mentors, being matched for a minimum of 2 years with their Young Person.
