What we do

TANDRIDGE FAMILY CENTRE
Children’s Services Manager – Tracey Quixley

Family centres support families to find solutions to the parenting and relationships challenges they face and to grow in confidence to manage future difficulties. The aim of the family centre is to help families build their own resilience and support network.

The Tandridge Family Centre provides one-to-one family support where family circumstances are having a significant impact on the health, development or wellbeing of the child/ children. Families and practitioners working with families; for example, GPs, health visitors, schools, and early years settings can request support for families who need targeted help.

Requests for support can be made through Surrey Children’s Single Point of Access (CSPA). https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/children/support-and-advice/families

Services are no longer available for all families at Family Centres, but other organisations may offer these at the centres and at other community venues. You can use the Surrey Family Information Directory to find universal and other services. https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/children/support-and-advice/families

Our family support staff are trained and experienced in helping families on a 1:1 basis to work through a variety of challenges, including; separation and divorce, domestic abuse, financial hardship, problems engaging with education, behavioural issues, communication breakdowns and parenting skills. The Family Centre also offers parenting programmes and group activities about common issues; eg strategies to help with family routines or managing anxiety and emotions.

Please contact us directly at [email protected] for further information about any of our services and how to be referred to us.
