Lots of little feet in Strabane have been making a huge difference this summer, as 11 local nurseries and seven of Strabane Sure Start’s Developmental Programme groups got walking, as part of Barnardo’s Big Toddle fundraising campaign.
Barnardo’s Big Toddle is a short, sponsored walk, aimed at children under five, which raises money for Barnardo’s services across Northern Ireland.
Sharon Callaghan, Manager of Barnardo’s Strabane Family Centre said, “It was fantastic to see so many children and families taking part in our Toddle this year, as it was the 20th anniversary of Barnardo’s Big Toddle in Strabane.
“The people of Strabane are always extremely generous and this year was no different. We are delighted to have raised £4800 and would like to say a huge thank you to all the local nurseries and children who took part. The money raised will help us to continue to support thousands of children, young people, parents and carers right here in Northern Ireland.”
