What we do
Barnardo's offer social group activities for children with mild or moderate disabilities, and children with autism, aged 8-18 years in the London Borough of Sutton. The service has two core aims:
- care respite for families
- fun, inclusive, engaging, skill building, social and developmental activities for children.
Children have an opportunity to make friends and take part in various activities each week.
The service usually runs from The Quad (Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton, Sutton SM5 1JW) every Saturday during term time and on a communicated schedule of week days during the holidays (51 weeks per year).
All referrals to the service must come through the Sutton Children with Disabilities Team.
We can help with
- Enabling the time off that family carers and children and young people with additional needs receive. These breaks come in different forms. Emphasis on building confidence and independence through inclusive play, play/holiday schemes and enabling social inclusion and skills.
