What we do
* Gender Space offers a social model of support for children, young people and their families who are trans, gender diverse or gender questioning. Our support is online, and is a mixture of one-to-one, group work, and therapeutic support. For young people aged 13-25 and their parents/carers. (Originally opened as a separate form on 4th March, 2019)
* The Positive Identities Service offers LGBTQ+ Core Training called Safe Zone. Available internally for free and externally at cost. Bolt-Ons are also accessible where more specific knowledge and expertise is required, such as Sex and Relationships, Care Experience. Please note, these are only available where core training has taken place first.
* Safe Space Award is an accreditation (currently internal only) for services who are embedding and achieving in inclusivity across their service for LGBTQ+ people.
We can help with
- No child should be left to deal with poor mental health alone so we provide services supporting children and young people's emotional health and wellbeing. We have centres where children and young people can visit and have a trained worker they can trust and talk to. We help them build their confidence and get to the root of their difficulties so they can feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful.
