People’s Postcode Lottery - Postcode Children Trust

Barnardo’s is supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery through Postcode Children Trust. Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised an amazing £5,942,838 to help Barnardo’s build stronger families, safer childhoods and positive futures since 2018. 

To date players have already allowed us to reach more of the children who need us most. With their help we’ve been able to provide therapy to children with mental health needs, to support children to recover from sexual abuse, and to make sure young people leaving the care system have the best possible chance of a positive future.

Furthermore players have given Barnardo’s employees across the charity the chance to bring their dream projects to life, using their experience and knowledge to further help those they support in new and unique ways through the Innovation Fund.  Player support has also played an integral role in our aim to be one of the leading voices in relation to children and young people affected by trauma and adversity by supporting our trauma informed practice training for staff. The ability to use funds flexibly has allowed us to direct these towards innovative programmes aiming to fundamentally transform and improve mental health and wellbeing support for children, young people and families and ensuring more care experienced young people reach positive destinations.
