Using a strengths-based lens, the course will explore key terms related to trauma-informed practice, examine the potential impact and consider how to work in a trauma responsive way.

Objectives

  • To gain a better understanding of adversity and trauma and how they can affect someone throughout their life. 

  • Develop a shared language and understanding about adversity, trauma, and cultural humility.

  • Understand the key principles of a trauma-informed approach.

  • Consider how individuals, teams and organisations can become more trauma and culturally informed.
