What we do
This project is part of wider partnership work, led by the Violence Reduction Network, for LLR to become a trauma-informed area. The aim is for the organisations to become aware of the impact of childhood adversity and trauma and to develop their practice, to begin to work towards becoming trauma sensitive and informed. This is at the level of both individual practitioners and organisational culture. Additionally, efforts to co-ordinate strategic commitments to trauma-informed working are more likely to ensure organisational culture can be transformed where necessary. These efforts can then contribute to a reduction in the likelihood of children/young people becoming involved in crime and violence throughout their lives.
