These reports, produced by Pro Bono Economics on behalf of Barnardo’s, Action for Children, NCB and NSPCC, review how much money has been spent on children’s social care in local authorities across England, and compares spending to previous years.

These reports also cover what that money is being spent on, including whether the focus on is early intervention services which help families when they first encounter difficulties, such as children’s centres and youth centres, or late intervention services which are there for when things go wrong such as child protection, or money spent on children who need to come into care.
