Children’s charity Barnardo’s is launching a summer of fun filled activities for families across Sandwell.

The summer activities will run across all of the Sandwell Children’s Centre sites which Barnardo’s has recently started running. The range of free activities on offer include coffee mornings for expectant mums, messy play, baby club, princes and pirates and antenatal coffee mornings.

The Sandwell Children’s Centre’s are in Oldbury, Smethwick, Rowley Regis, Tipton, Wednesbury with two additional sites in West Bromwich. Each town will offer support that is tailored to meet the needs of that community.

Alongside the summer activity programme, the Centre’s will also offer support for children in early years and early education, targeted support, specific activities for dads and male carers, a range of ante-natal sessions and community activities including play sessions and coffee mornings.

Emily Phelps, Assistant Director Children’s Services, Barnardo’s said:

“The Barnardo’s team is looking forward to welcoming families to its Centre’s and it is a good opportunity for people to come together and find out what else we have on offer.

“We feel privileged to be working with families across Sandwell and are keen to hear feedback on how we can best support to ensure their needs are being met.”

In addition, the Sandwell Children’s Centre’s will also offer support to children and young people aged 0-19 years (25 years for SEND) and their families. They will support families to be healthy and confident in how they meet the needs of their children.

While a new website is under construction, you can find out more about the summer programme by calling 0121 500 4011. The social media pages also have the latest information:
