Starting Well Partnership 0-19 Wyre Forest Brookside Family Hub

What we do

The contract is run across two Family Hubs, the second site is Half Crown Wood Family Hub, St Bartholomew Primary School, Princess Way, Stourport on Severn, DY13 0EL.

Barnardo’s in partnership with Worcestershire Community Health Trust as the prime contractor, Action for Children and Redditch and Bromsgrove District Council, has secured the further contract to deliver the Worcestershire Prevention and Early Intervention Service for Children Aged 0-19 and their Families (Starting Well Partnership). This contract will commence in April 2020 for the duration of 5 +2 years.

Barnardo’s delivery element will be geographically located in the current 10:32 footprint of the Wyre Forest. Staff will work flexibly across the Wyre Forest District.

Objectives of Service

• Delivery of evidence-based parenting support programmes and other targeted provision for those identified by the universal service in the Wyre Forest Locality.
• A scaling up of building community capacity including developing and sustaining community activities, utilising volunteers and community assets, information and advice, community parenting and peer support.

The service is for all children and young people aged 0-19 and their families who are resident or attending mainstream schools in Worcestershire. This includes children missing education, home schooled children, children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) up to age 24 years and all young people aged 16 plus (not only those in mainstream school).
