What we do
MyTime North Cumbria forms part of the CAMHS provision for children and young people aged 5–18. As a Targeted Mental Health Service, we operate within the Getting Help quadrant of the THRIVE model. Our focus is on delivering targeted, outcome‑focused interventions that address specific mental health challenges.
We offer a bespoke and flexible approach for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Our work places the young person at the centre of the intervention, recognising their strengths and empowering them to make meaningful changes. We actively involve key systems around them - such as family, school and wider support networks, to help sustain these changes.
MyTime North Cumbria is a short‑term, counselling‑based service providing 6–8 weekly sessions. Our Therapists and Practitioners work within Barnardo’s CSSO model and draw on a range of approaches, including Person‑Centred practice, CBT and creative therapeutic techniques.
We can help with
- No child should be left to deal with poor mental health alone so we provide services supporting children and young people's emotional health and wellbeing. We have centres where children and young people can visit and have a trained worker they can trust and talk to. We help them build their confidence and get to the root of their difficulties so they can feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful.
