What we do
Barnardo’s Home Links is a family based short-break service for disabled children and young people who may have autism or challenging behaviours. We work in partnership with Belfast Trust Children's Disability Teams. This longstanding service recruits, assesses and supports carers to provide regular overnight stays. We aim to promote each child and young person’s independence, inclusion and participation in the community.
We can help with
- Enabling the time off that family carers and children and young people with additional needs receive. These breaks come in different forms. Emphasis on building confidence and independence through inclusive play, play/holiday schemes and enabling social inclusion and skills.
