What we do
Home Support and Mediation is part of the Youth Homeless Prevention Service. The vision of the Service is to ensure that young people and their families have the right support at the right time to overcome their difficulties and ensure that family breakdown is avoided where safe to do so.
The Home Support and Mediation worker works with young people alongside their families offering support both practical in the form of support with issues such as education and training, family income maximisation and relationship support through mediation. The aim of the service is to meet accommodation needs whether that is prevention in the form of enabling young people to remain at home or relieving difficulties through supporting young people to make a planned move to independence before the threat of homelessness reaches crisis point.
