Will you help us lift half a million children in the UK out of poverty?

No child should grow up in poverty

It’s not fair that nearly one in three children in the UK live in poverty.

That means cold homes, empty plates, and missed opportunities. And behind every statistic is a child missing out on the childhood they deserve.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Will you help us lift half a million children in the UK out of poverty?

With just weeks until the government is due to publish its new Child Poverty Strategy, this is our moment to act. We need the government remove these two unfair rules to stop child poverty rising:

  1. Scrap the two-child limit, which blocks families from getting support if they have more than two children.
  2. End the benefit cap, which limits what support families receive, regardless of their need.

Together we can persuade the government to prioritise children and families and reduce child poverty in this generation and the next.

I'm really hoping and praying that the policy gets scrapped. They're looking at me and my children as numbers, not as people. I feel like I have to choose which child I’m going to buy something for each month. Who's going to get forgotten about this month? Who takes priority?

Donate now and help children and families in poverty

Right now, nearly one in three children in the UK live in poverty because too many families are struggling to make ends meet. Thanks to donations like yours, we can make sure families get the support they need - whether it's helping them put food on the table, keeping the electricity on so they can stay warm, or organising special days out for them to enjoy as a family.
