  • Barnardo's 4U Services: IOW Miss U (Missing Interview)

    Barnardo's 4U- Miss-U service offers young people who have been reported missing, by their family or guardians, to the police or the local authority the opportunity to have an independent return home interview. We are able to support children and young people aged 5-25yrs who are the responsibility of the Isle of Wight Local Authority or resident on the Isle of Wight.

  • Barnardo's Missing Children Support Service

    We are commissioned by Buckinghamshire Council to offer a follow up conversation (return home interview) with all children and young people who have returned from going missing. We receive missing referrals from Thames Valley Police and are required to complete this visit within 72 hours of notification of the missing episode.

    Supports children and young people of all genders within Bristol who have been reported missing from the place they live (home or placement). The service conducts Missing Return Conversations to help understand the factors that have led to a child going missing and works towards increasing safety for these children, their families and professional networks.

    We offer assessment and support to young people who have run away or are missing from home. We encourage young people and their families to access and engage with multi-agency support tailored to meet their needs. We work to prevent children and young people who are vulnerable to going missing from home by diverting and signposting them into positive activities.
