Analysis of outcome data from 529 young people supported by Barnardo’s shows a reduction in the risk of sexual exploitation and associated risk factors (going missing; substance abuse; disengagement from education, employment, and training; and accommodation need) across the course of the intervention.

The analysis shows a significant reduction in public spending costs if a young person at risk of sexual exploitation receives an intervention.
