This evidence review maps research evidence on interventions preventing and promoting children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

The review shows that while there is a large evidence base for interventions preventing depression and anxiety, evidence on the promotion of positive mental health and wellbeing is limited. Limitations to the available evidence include a risk of bias, limiting the robustness of conclusions that can be drawn about the effectiveness of interventions.
