What we do

The Ubuntu Project is focussed on building community capacity and connecting voluntary and statutory organisations working directly with children, families and young people arrived sanctuary seeking across Northern Ireland, Scotland and Hertfordshire. Through the sharing of best practice and advocacy work, the Ubuntu Practitioners Network will seek to influence system and policy change with a particular focus on improving the experiences of children young people and families who have arrive seeking international protection.
In addition, an Ubuntu Youth Voice Network is developing across the 3 regions for young people arrived seeking sanctuary, with the aim of ensuring their voices are fed into the heart of proposals and recommendations. To refer a young person you work with follow the link in this webpage.

We can help with

    Refugee/asylum seeker services

  • All children, no matter where they’re from, or how they arrived in the UK, deserve to feel safe, happy, healthy and hopeful. We support children and families seeking sanctuary in the UK in a number of different ways. We help provide loving homes for children and young people who arrive on their own and help them get the healthcare and schooling they need. We also give parents practical support so their family can feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful.
