What we do
12 young people, aged 18–25, from across the UK who have been supported by Barnardo’s and have lived experience of:
Living in care
Seeking sanctuary
Mental health support
Being a young carer
Poverty
Criminal or sexual exploitation
Living with a disability
Being an LGBTQ+ person
This group will be supported to become confident spokespeople, storytellers and ambassadors, representing Barnardo’s in the media, at events, and in our communications and fundraising. Through a structured support programme, they’ll develop skills in storytelling, confidence-building and advocacy.
