Home Learning Environment - Temporary Accomodation

What we do

The primary objective of this role is to support the speech, language, and communication (SLC) activities within the Family Hubs Home Learning Environment strand. This role will collaborate with other HLE colleagues to support speech, language and communication in the temporary accommodation space.
Initially, this role will focus on Edgbaston and Ladywood districts, and the Doddington area in Edgbaston, as they have been identified as priority areas for engaging with families in temporary accommodation.
The role will concentrate on the Home Learning Environment strand of the Family Hubs initiative. Specifically, the position will support children and families in the temporary accommodation space across the city. An essential aspect of this role will be to develop and maintain links with external organisations working within this space, such as Birmingham Community Health Care Trust, Birmingham City Council (BCC) Early Years colleagues, Book Trust, and Libraries.
