Clackmannanshire Open Door Services (Open)

What we do

C.O.D.S. provides a comprehensive range of specialist services for children and young people aged 8–18 (up to 25 if care-experienced), and their families. Referrals are accepted for those requiring intervention in relation to:

Harmful behaviours towards others,

Risk of exploitation, and

Substance use.

Our tailored interventions support young people to explore and address the impact of their behaviour on themselves, their families, and the wider community. Areas of focus include:

Risk management and personal safety,

Family, school, and peer relationships,

Self-esteem and emotional resilience.

We also offer dedicated support for parents and carers. This includes systemic family work and the delivery of evidence-based parenting programmes, aimed at:

Developing a consistent approach to managing behaviour,

Promoting positive communication,

Establishing effective routines, boundaries, and consequences,

Supporting the whole family, including siblings.

C.O.D.S. works in partnership with families to create safe, structured, and supportive environments that empower young people to make positive, lasting change.
