What we do
This is a partnership service with Dundee Women's Aid. The service works with adult and child victims of domestic abuse and includes males. The service works in partnership with Dundee Women's Aid and is co-located with Police Scotland.
Dundee ASSIST provides an advocacy service and will help support victims through the court system. The service will ensure that when you exit this service that clients can continue to be supported by relevant agencies.
The ASSIST staff will:
Complete on-going risk assessment.
Provide a safety planning and risk management.
Signpost you to relevant services
Liaise with agencies on client’s behalf
Attend MARAC to ensure client’s voice is at the centre of the meeting.
We can help with
- Domestic abuse can have a devastating impact on the victims and their families, with children and young people at risk of serious harm to both their emotional and physical health. We support families affected by domestic abuse to change behaviour, improve wellbeing, reduce risk and increase safety.
