Elderly mother and her daughter

Organise a Barnardo’s collection in memory of your loved one

Honour your loved one in a truly meaningful way by organising a collection for Barnardo's at their funeral or memorial service. By remembering someone special with a gift, your kindness today helps create brighter, more hopeful futures for children tomorrow.

We’re here to help make things easier. We can send you our special Barnardo’s envelopes for your loved one’s service.

They can be given to friends and family in advance or passed on to those unable to attend. Most funeral directors are happy to collect the envelopes and return them on your behalf or you can send them directly back to us using the prepaid return address.

Using the envelopes also allows us to claim Gift Aid, helping the collection in your loved one’s name go even further - by up to 25%. Find out more here - Gift Aid

Other ways to remember your loved one

  • Online

You can send in the collection online, just include your loved one’s name so we can acknowledge your gift and honour their memory.

  • By post

If you don’t have a collection envelope, you can request one from us or simply send the donations by post. Please include:

  • The name of the person the collection is in memory of.

  • Your contact details and the address where you’d like us to send a thank-you.

Please do not send cash in the post. Cheques should be made payable to Barnardo’s and sent to:
Barnardo’s, Tanners Lane, Barkingside, Essex IG6 1QG

We’re also happy to process individual donations if you collect them separately.

  • By shop or in person

If you’re local to a Barnardo’s shop, you’re welcome to bring your cash donations in person. Just let the team know your loved one’s name and your contact details so we can thank you properly.

Funeral Directors

If you're a funeral director supporting a family with their arrangements, thank you for helping them honour their loved one’s memory. We’re happy to provide donation envelopes on request, and we’re grateful for your support in collecting and returning them to us. If you have any questions or would like to order envelopes, please contact us at [email protected].
