BEC is a ‘one stop shop’ where educators can go for resources, support and advice about how to help children and young people cope with any issues they are experiencing.
Barnardo’s NI and NSPCC have been working to influence The Domestic Abuse & Family Proceedings Bill, so that all children and young people living with domestic abuse have access to the greatest protections from abuse as possible. The Bill creates a new domestic abuse offence for Northern Ireland which will capture patterns of controlling and coercive behaviour as well as physical abuse, against a partner, former partner or family member.
