Barnardo's North West Fostering Service
Barnardo's North West Fostering Service offers family-based care for disabled children.
The project was set up in 1979 as a specialist project to place disabled children and young people with long term foster carers.
Working in partnership with many north west local authorities, we offer care for disabled children with significant intellectual, physical and or medical impairment(s) aged 0-19 years, who are unable to live with their birth family on a full-time basis.
As part of our work we assess recruit, train, link and support carers and befrienders who provide care for disabled children.
