The Youth Homeless Service provides both statutory and voluntary advice to young people aged 16 to 20 living in Swansea who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
If you are 16 or 17 you will be seen by a Youth Homeless assessing Social Worker, who will assessment your accommodation needs and provide advice and assistance. We provide support on an emergency basis to those young people who are homeless. We also provide home support and mediation to those at threat of becoming homeless. We aim to support young people to remain/return home where possible. However if things are not preventable we would support them to explore their accommodation options .
After you have been assessed by the Social Worker, you will be allocated a support worker depending on your needs who will support you with your plan.
If you are 18-20 you will be seen by the Youth Homeless casework who will assess your situation and offer you advice and assistance on the options available to you’
Everyone in the Youth Homeless Service at the BAYS believes in children and young people. We are here to listen to you and help you make informed choices.
