How we can help

Talk to your social worker and if you both agree that Barnardo’s Windsor Avenue Family Centre is the best place to help you and your family, your social worker will assist you with completing a referral form. If you have any concerns about attending the centre a visit can be arranged to the service or alternatively a member of staff will visit you at your home with your social worker. We will then ask you to come along to the centre with your social worker so we can discuss with you what sort of help and support you require. At this meeting you will be introduced to be your key worker and you will have a chance to see around the building and meet other staff.

You will have regular discussions with your key worker about how things are progressing. Our open access policy enables you to read anything we write about you including reports and records and both you and your social worker will also be able to attend our regular review meetings to discuss the progress you are making.
