In relation to day care services:
Q. Will it cost me anything?
A. No, service users are referred by social services.
Q. We don’t have transport, how will my child get to the centre?
A. Your child will be collected and returned by the centre’s minibus.
Q. I don’t want people to ask questions when the bus arrives. Does it say Barnardo's on the minibus?
A. No, there is no writing on our bus.
Q. How many days each week will my child attend?
A This will be normally be four days each week, although we do on occasions take 'part time' referrals which means two days each week.
In relation to family work services:
Q. Will it cost me anything?
A. No, service users are referred by social services.
Q. How will I know how my child is doing?
A. There are opportunities to find out progress during home visits, project visits, internal review meetings and in relation to day care parents and staff have daily contact on the minibus run.
Q. What do I do if I am unhappy about the service I am receiving?
A. You have a right to complain and we would like to hear from you if you are dissatisfied with the service you receive. Information on how to complain will be provided when you start. We welcome ideas about how the service could be improved and provide opportunities for people using the centre to contribute their views.
