Donating goods

Unwanted Christmas Presents?
Barnardo’s stores urgently need stock! Your unwanted Christmas presents could be loved by someone visiting one of our Barnardo's stores.
All profits from our stores go directly towards Barnardo’s work with children, young people and their families across the UK but we can’t raise funds without items to sell so if you have any unwanted:
- Jewellery and accessories
- Handbags and pairs of shoes
- Books and Bric a Brac
- CD’s and DVD’s
- Toys and Games
- Clean quality clothing
then take them along to your local Barnardo’s store as they would love to receive it. Selected stores can also take furniture, but please check before donating.
Don’t throw cash away!

Barnardo’s can convert your unwanted goods into valuable money to help fund our work with vulnerable children. Recycling also helps conserve our planet for the future of today’s children. Here are some ways you can help:
Recycle your gadgets

Barnardo's are in partnership with Royal Mail Simply Drop and have launched a new electrical and electronic recycling scheme.
By donating your unwanted mobile phones, digital cameras or MP3 players for recycling, you can help Barnardo's help vulnerable children across the UK.
To donate your items, simply take your old devices to your local Barnardo's store and hand them to a member of staff who can send them off for you or pick up a freepost envelope at the counter to take home and then you can pop the items in the post yourself.
Find your local Barnardo's shop.
Printer cartridges
- over 30 million printer cartridges are thrown away in the UK each year
- almost 27 million of these unwanted printer cartridges can be recycled or re-used
- Barnardo’s receives 50p for each recyclable inkjet sent to our freepost address
So donate your old printer cartridges today by sending them to Barnardo's Appeal, FREEPOST RLYL-UECZ-SCSJ, Falkirk, Scotland, FK2 9BR or by dropping them into your local shop. Please note that unfortunately we are unable to recycle Epson Canon BCI (inktank), HP numbers 10/11/12/13/14, 88, 363 and non original manufacturer brand cartridges without metal printheads at present
Household items and clothes

Does your house need a bit of a clearout? Barnardo’s stores rely on constant donations of high quality household items
- we welcome good quality saleable items
- an average bag of unwanted goods can raise over £10
If you have any quality household items, clothing, shoes, accessories, CDs, DVDs or books that you would like to donate, your local Barnardo's store would be pleased to accept them.
