Recycle your mobile phone

Image of phone with text message saying "Recycle with Barnardo's"

It is estimated that there are somewhere in the region of 60 million to 90 million unwanted handsets languishing in drawers in homes and offices in the UK

  • mobile phones will take about 1000 years to decompose in landfill sites
  • Barnardo’s receives £3 for every recyclable mobile phone sent to our free post address

So donate your unwanted mobile phone today by sending it to Barnardo's Appeal, FREEPOST RLYL-UECZ-SCSJ, Falkirk, Scotland, FK2 9BR or by dropping it into your local Barnardo's shop. Please remember to include the charger if you have it and remove all SIM cards. Nothing you send for recycling will end up in landfill.

Printer cartridges

  • over 30 million printer cartridges are thrown away in the UK each year
  • almost 27 million of these unwanted printer cartridges can be recycled or re-used
  • Barnardo’s receives 50p for each recyclable inkjet sent to our freepost address

So donate your old printer cartridges today by sending them to Barnardo's Appeal, FREEPOST RLYL-UECZ-SCSJ, Falkirk, Scotland, FK2 9BR or by dropping them into your local shop. Please note that unfortunately we are unable to recycle Epson Canon BCI (inktank), HP numbers 10/11/12/13/14, 88, 363 and non original manufacturer brand cartridges without metal printheads at present
