What we do
Youth Homeless Early Intervention School Work is part of the Youth Homeless Prevention Service. The vision of the Service is to ensure that young people and their families have the right support at the right time to overcome their difficulties and ensure that family breakdown is avoided where safe to do so.
This service works with comprehensive schools, colleges, and youth clubs throughout Swansea to provide Personal and Social Education (PSE) lessons to educate young people on the realities of homelessness and living independently and to promote the services of the Youth Homeless Prevention Advisor and the home support and mediation help available to ensure early intervention for young people facing accommodation issues. The Service also provides school surgeries to give 1 to 1 advice and assistance to both pupils and school staff on accommodation issues.
