Young People who want to make a complaint
Young people should not be afraid to speak out - we are here to listen and support children and young people and ensure their voices are heard. Complaints really can help services and staff to understand young people's experiences. Young people have a 'right' to make a complaint if they are unhappy about the way they have been treated.
Barnardo's CAPS can support young people to make complaints about a service they have received from the Local Authority. CAPS can support them to raise concerns informally with professionals. If young people are unhappy with the outcome we can help them make a formal complaint.
When we visit a young person they will be given Barnardo's leaflet so they know how to complaint about our service if they are unhappy with anything we have done.
