Working with children with a parent in prison: Messages for practice from two Barnardo's pilot services

Author : Owen Gill and May Jacobson Deegan (May 2013)

Price : Free

This report highlights the practice learning emerging from two of our pilot services based in the community that worked with children and their families affected by imprisonment.

The report is based on interviews with the children, families and project workers involved with these services, and uses their experiences to develop messages for practice. These messages are relevant to other community-based services and can also support mainstream children's services to effectively address the needs of this group of vulnerable children.
