The Contracted Service develops a strategic approach to work with children of offenders to maintain and develop their mother/family relationships as part of the Children and Families Pathway. This is provided through an Ofsted registered nursery provision offering up to 22 placements to children aged up to 3 years for residents of HMP Askham Grange women’s Open Prison Mother and baby Unit.
Askham Grange - Acorn House service is facilitated as a Support Service to develop a strategic approach to work with children and families of offenders and provide mothers in Askham Grange with a range of services which will enable them to maintain and develop their family relationships as part of the Children and Families Pathway.
A supported service to HMP Askham Grange to coordinate, organise and provide a minimum of 4 Family Days per year. To provide equipment to enhance the experience of a Family Day for the children whose mother is in prison (CAPI). Maintaining and supporting Family ties and aiding resettlement.
Creative programme based on the resident of HMP Askham Grange's childs educational learning. The aim is to maintain/improve the relationships between mum/grandma and their child/ren. Maintaining and supporting Family ties and aiding resettlement.
