Barnardo's Children Affected by Parental Substance Misuse Service supports children and families within Fife to become more confident and able to cope with life events where substance misuse has impacted on the family.
Support is offered to families with children aged 0-12 and can consist of individual support to parents and children, and also family support.
Independent Children's Rights Service provided in partnership with Fife Council.
Providing rights & Advocacy support for
- Children aged 0-18 who are Looked After by the local authority
- Children aged 0-18 who are affected by a disability
- Children aged 5-18 attending an Initial or Review Child Protection Case Conference
Fife Integrated Parenting Capacity Assessment Service works across the whole Fife local authority area. The Service has developed an assessment framework that is applied over a 16 week period with the purpose of assisting Fife Social Work Service in long term decision making for children, where there is a significant concern regarding the parents capacity to meet the child's/children's needs.
Fife Stronger Families Service works with families with children aged 0-12 years (still attending primary school). Referrals are made via Fife Council Social Work only and are prioritised based on the following eligibility criteria.
Employability programme for long term unemployed 16 – 29 year olds from across the city of Edinburgh/Glasgow, Mid-Lothian, and East Lothian, Renfrewshire.
The programme has 3 phases - induction, placement with an employer, moving on to supported employment with the employer.

Child & Family Support Service Dundee works in partnership with children, young people and their families, who experience a range of additional support needs, including disability, providing a holistic range of supports, including Activity Days, to promote wellbeing, safety and inclusion.
Works with women and children who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse. The service works in partnership with Police Scotland and operates out of Police premises within each Police Scotland division within Tayside: Dundee (Central), Angus (Eastern), Perth (Western).
Dundee Child & Family Support Service works in partnership with children, young people and their families, who experience a range of additional support needs, including disability, providing a holistic range of supports to promote wellbeing, safety and inclusion.
Works with children and young people who have experienced abuse. Through a range of therapeutic supports the service aims to help children and their families recover from their experiences and rebuild family relationships. Training and consultation are also provided to other agencies and professionals.
