  • Bradford Parenting Cygnet Service

    This programme is designed for parents and carers of children and young people aged 5-18 with an autistic spectrum condition. This is a core Cygnet programme which is delivered over six, two and a half - three hour sessions which sequentially work towards behaviour management and covers a number of topics Please note there is a new updated Core Programme available from March 2017

    The Children’s Autism Support Service is run by Barnardo’s on behalf of Vale of Glamorgan Families First. The Service is split into two parts to help support families whose children have not yet received a formal diagnoses and families who have.

In partnership with Bradford Safeguarding Children’s Board the DICE parenting programme has been developed to support parents/carers with knowledge and strategies that will enable them to have a greater understanding, be more tolerant and nurturing to their child at risk.     The Incredible Years Pre-School Programme supports parents and carers of children aged 3-4 years who live in the Bradford District. This programme provides support around child attachment, speech and language development, routines, boundaries and positive social interactions.

    Barnardo’s Parent and Infant Programme (PIP) is a structured programme, delivered weekly in community venues for parents/carers of children aged 0– 3 years. The programme uses a child centred approach to encourage all areas of development including speech, language and communication.

  • Parent and Carers Toolbox - PACT

    Parent and Carers Toolbox - (PACT) is a service provided by Barnardo’s NI to provide Parents and Carers with a toolbox of strategies that will support them in parenting their children. The Southern Health and Social Care Trust commissions the service. Referrals come from the Trust.
