What we do
Better Futures Cymru provides assessment and longer term therapeutic intervention services for children and young people with sexualised histories across Wales, including young people who have been the victims of sexual abuse; young people who display problematic or Harmful Sexual Behaviour; and young people who are at risk of or are abused through Child Sexual Exploitation. It is managed by Barnardo’s and is in partnership with six Local Authorities, including:
Taith, Harmful Sexual Behaviour Service;
Seraf, Child Sexual Exploitation Service;
Gobaith Research;
Girls Talk Research and Practice, a Service for Girls who display HSB;
Boys 2 Research and Practice, a Service for Boys who are at risk of CSE.
We can help with
- Working with children, young people, families and professionals to help understand the behaviour, build self-worth, keep safe and make the right choices to improve life chances.
