What we do
Focusing on supporting young people and their families from p6 – 2nd year.
The emphasis is promoting the emotional health and wellbeing of young people affected by substance use who have limited supports are either about to or have recently made the transition from primary school to secondary school who are about to leave primary school and are impacted by substance use.
Referrals will predominately come from schools though can be received from anyone.
The service will mainly offer group sessions to promote self esteem, confidence and improved mental/emotional health and wellbeing. However 1:1 work will be offered if this is deemed beneficial to the individual.
Taking a whole systems approach the service will support young people and their families to cope with problematic substance use, through a variety of group and 1:1 interventions.
We can help with
Supporting those affected by personal, adult or parental substance misuse. Advice and information on the impact of high risk behaviours, such as drug or alcohol misuse, violence and domestic abuse. Intervention and treatment services can be accessed, along with 1:1 and peer support.
Supports individuals and groups, for example young people identifying as LGBTQ, in personal development and developing the skills to make positive life choices.
