Join in the fun and dance!

The Big Barnardo’s Ceilidh is a nationwide collection of ceilidhs taking place on or around Universal Children’s Day on the 20th November. This unique event unites the nation to raise funds for Scotland’s most vulnerable children.

Not only are ceilidhs ideal for all ages and abilities, they are also easy and inexpensive to organise and infectiously good fun!

The event will raise vital funds for Barnardo’s Scotland. We have over 122 specialised community-based services throughout the country working with over 26,500 vulnerable children. Our work includes: fostering and adoption services and support; helping children break free from sexual exploitation; supporting young carers; helping young people in to employment and helping children living in poverty.

Please join in by hosting a ceilidh in your local community to raise vital funds.

Complete the form below with your details and we will send you a pack with all the information you need to organise and promote your event.

  • £500 pays for five places on a summer place scheme where vulnerable children are able to play, make friends with peers and increase their confidence
  • £1,000 provides a long-term unemployed young person with the accredited training which they require, allowing them to find sustainable employment and turn their life around
