You can help change the lives of vulnerable children by tackling the highest mountains in the UK…
If this sounds like your cup of tea, then the Three Peaks Challenge for Barnardo’s might just be the challenge for you.
This trek covers 40kms, and includes 2,984m of ascent and descent. You’ll begin with a pick-up in Manchester, taking you to one of Scotland’s most scenic places, Glen Nevis Valley. From there you’ll climb Ben Nevis, the largest UK mountain, showcasing spectacular views as you will start trekking just after sunrise.
Upon desending Ben Nevis, you’ll be driven to the Lake District, where you’ll stay the night before conquering Scafell Pike. As you ascend through sunrise you can enjoy fantastic scenery looking down over the hills and lakes of the region. Your final peak is Snowdon in Wales, which has a unique bio-diversity of plants and wildlife…
