A day in the life of a regional fundraiser

What is it actually like to be a fundraiser for Barnardo's? Below is a brief insight into a typical day for one of our regional fundraisers working with local schools to raise money.

40 - Arrive early in time for a 9am primary school assembly speaking to two groups infants & juniors for 20 minutes each. Great - they really want to help and raise lots of money!!

00 - Time for a quick cuppa before launching into a 5 minute talk with the morning nursery children.

30 - Visit to the local playgroup teacher who wants to sort out details about a Big Toddle later in the year.

15 - Pop into a primary school that has just completed an appeal. Wow, what a great response!!!

00 - A bite to eat before travelling back to the school we started at this morning.

20 - Talk with the afternoon nursery children

40 - Back in the car and off to a senior school.

30 - Talk to a small group of year 12 pupils about the Business Incentive Scheme.

15 - Return home, complete my paperwork, organise my materials for tomorrow & put my feet up - phew what a day!!!!
