How can you help?

A group of young people having a great time

We know from the many parents and children who use our service that a small amount of regular time out can make a huge difference to the quality of family and social life.

Lots of different people become carers or volunteers; as long as you enjoy children and can share a few hours each month.

You don't need a lot of special qualifications or experience but you do need plenty of patience and understanding. Training and on-going support is provided for all carers and volunteers. So many of our carers and volunteers start out thinking that they want to give something back to the community but are apprehensive about their ability to care for disabled children. Don’t let this stop you. Remember that disabled children are children first.

Q What can you do next?

A You can contact us by phone or email. We will need your name, address, phone number or email so that we can send you some preliminary information.

Q What happens then?

A If you’re still interested we will meet with you to give you more information and if you’re still keen we would ask you to formally apply to be a carer.

Why not give it a go? It’s very rewarding work and you get to have fun at the same time!
