Fundraising for Barnardo's Cymru
Barnardo’s Cymru needs to raise £3 million every year to enable us to run our 41 projects in Wales which support thousands of vulnerable children, young people and their families.
We achieve this through many ways including:

Barnardo's Big Toddle
The Barnardo's Big Toddle is a half mile sponsored walk for under 5’s and is the biggest pre-school event in the UK. In 2006, 120,000 Big Toddlers raised over £1.1 million for Barnardo’s work with disadvantaged young children and for local communities. With your help, we hope to raise even more in 2007.
This year we are changing the venue of our Cardiff flagship event to St Fagans National History Museum. This means that not only will the children get to take part in the Toddle and enjoy the entertainment provided alongside the event but they, and their parents, will also be able to spend time in Wales most popular heritage attraction complete with farmyard animals!
The Big Toddle is a fantastic day out, and one that makes a real difference to thousands of disadvantaged children across the country. It's about children helping children.
It’s incredibly easy and flexible to take part. If you can’t bring your toddlers to this or one of our other organised events then you can organise your own Toddle at a time and place which suits you. You can also choose to keep 25% of your sponsorship for your own fundraising – to help your group or another local cause!
