Research and lobbying Government
We lobby the government regularly using our original research based on the direct work we do with children and young people.
As the UK’s leading children's charity we have a deep experience and knowledge of the range of issues faced by the UK's most vulnerable children and young people.
Our current and upcoming work
Care leavers
On the 23 March 2011 we were successful in urging government to provide some needed financial support to care leavers.
Child poverty
On 5 April 2011 the government published its Child Poverty Strategy. We responded with some of our concerns to the strategy.
Children in trouble
On 9 May we responded to proposed anti-social behaviour powers which could put children at risk.
