Community Support

Walk

By fundraising or volunteering for Barnardo's NI in your local community you can make a real difference to the lives of children throughout Northern Ireland. Vitally money raised locally is spent on local services.

There are a number of ways you can support us:

Organise your own fundraising event

From cupcake sales to cycle rides, table quizzes to toddles, there are so many ways that local people support Barnardo's. Organising your own fundraising event can be a fun and rewarding experience. If you already have an idea or maybe need some inspiration, contact your local fundraiser to receive advice and support and our fundraising pack filled with ideas and guidelines.

Keep up to date on our website and Facebook Page for upcoming Barnardo’s NI events which you can take part in.

Fundraising Volunteering

There are a number of fundraising volunteer opportunities with Barnardo's NI. Help with a local street collection, supermarket bagpack, at any of our events or become an ambassador for the charity in your own community. Whatever time you can spare or help you can give will make a real difference.

Barnardo's Helper Groups

BHG

BHGs are an important part of the Barnardo’s family in Northern Ireland. Our seven committee-run groups of volunteers raise vital funds and represent the charity in their local area throughout the year. We are always looking for new groups, so if you and a group of friends or established committee would like to become a BHG please contact Aoibheann Doherty.

Pictured are, members of Barnardo’s Helper Group in Dungannon who recently organised a choral society evening in the Royal School Dungannon in aid of Barnardo's. Thank you to Dungannon Choral Society for their support in the event which raised over £1000 for Barnardo’s.
