Waltham Forest Children's Rights Service

How we can help

Working in partnership with a number of young people, the service has had an impact on the attitudes, understanding and skills of those providing services for young people looked after and leaving care, including social workers, foster carers and managers. This in turn has a direct impact on the care experience day to day for young people in care to Waltham Forest.

All the work of WFCRS is connected with ensuring the promotion of the young people’s right to make a positive contribution. Through their involvement with the children's rights service some young people have used this experience to gain educational qualification, work and many say that it has increased their confidence and sense of responsibility.
