Purpose of opportunity:
Support parents with children/young people to access services and support. Helping families to feel welcome and providing information about the Children's Centre.
To work with the children centre team to create a sense of community at centre café/shop sessions.
The community café is open to all members of the public regardless of whether they have a child under 5 years. This project was developed in direct response to parents¿ request as parents¿ stated they would like somewhere to sit and relax. This project supports mental health and wellbeing. It also supports child poverty and isolation. The café is donation based and offers a range of refreshments as well as a clothes bank and various items that families can pick up free or offer a small donation. Donations received are put back into café resources.
