Welcome to Barnardo's tlc in Scotland
Welcome to Barnardo’s tlc in Scotland which offers training, learning resources and consultancy for all those working with children and young people. We provide and facilitate a wide range of learning experiences, from training courses to team-based consultancy on issues which reflect the current concerns for Scotland’s children.
- Our learning inputs are always informed by our practice experience and a sound knowledge of local systems and policies.
- We understand the challenges of translating a good idea and a useful theoretical model into effective practice in the realities of the workplace.
- We will always start our conversation with an exploration of challenges you face and design learning solutions to meet the particulars of your context.
We deliver input on issues across a wide spectrum of work in protecting children from an introduction to the concepts and responsibilities encapsulated in government documents such as “It’s Everyone’s Job to Make Sure I’m Alright and Safe and Well” to more advanced input for managers, supervisors and named child protection co-ordinators.
Through tlc we can access the full range of Barnardo’s organisational expertise. Some are developed programmes; most are adaptable to your particular need and context. This includes access to learning on:
