Aim
To enable participants to identify their existing skills, strengths and develop new skills in supervision to be able to more effectively manage their teams.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
- understand and demonstrate the core skills and values that underpin good supervision within the organisation
- access a variety of models for organising, implementing and reflecting on supervision which will impact positively on the team ‘culture’ and the management of the team
- be able set up systems for structuring, planning and managing supervision within the team
- use a variety of supervision tools and strategies to support and improve individual and team working
- show awareness of their own communication and negotiation skills; and future development required
- provide a frame work for reflective learning and continuing professional development
- utilise a framework for reflective practice and continuing professional practice development.
